Given the rapid growth of global threats, traffic to the servers is protected by multiple anti-DDoS systems. Normally, all incoming traffic passes through the scrubbing centers of one of the world's leading providers of anti-DDoS services, using high-speed Layer-2 links. In addition to this, traffic can be diverted at any time to alternative protection services of other providers using different technologies.

As a further level of protection, traffic to Florence's data centers is filtered by an internal scrubbing system to eliminate any residual malicious traffic.
