What is SPID

SPID (Sistema Pubblico d’Identità Digitale - Public Digital Identity System) securely identifies a person and is essential for accessing the online services of the Public Administration (e.g. INPS, Revenue Agency, Municipal Services, Electronic Health Record, IO App etc.) and of the private companies that use them.

Thanks to SPID - also known as personal SPID - identification can be consolidated in a single account that can be used to securely access all the services (public and private) that are part of the SPID system with any device.

SPID must be issued by Identity Providers accredited by the Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale (AgID), which in our case is Namirial S.p.A.

Personal SPID - How it works

When you have purchased the Personal SPID service, you will receive the access link (voucher) that will enable you to activate SPID 24/7. All you need is an Internet connection, a smartphone or a webcam, your ID and your health card.

In addition, it is essential to have SPID in order to obtain the qualification of RAO (Registration Authority Officer), which can be obtained from the LRA Genesys Informatica srl (owner of the Hosting Solutions brand); the RAO qualification allows you to issue certified identification services such as SPID and Digital Signature.

To obtain your SPID identity (as a citizen), you will need to take the following steps online:

  1. purchase the service from Hosting Solutions;
  2. register with CA Namirial S.P.A;
  3. successfully pass the compatibility test that assesses whether the technical requirements for the connection are met;
  4. carry out a simple and quick video-recognition procedure via webcam (PC or mobile device).

Once these steps have been successfully completed, SPID will be issued.

Before starting the procedure, make sure you have:

  • Internet connection with bandwidth greater than or equal to 1Mb upload (recommended greater than 2Mb) and 1Mb download (recommended greater than 10Mb), up-to-date browser and a webcam or camera;
  • valid and legible identity document;
  • valid health card;
  • active mobile phone number;
  • valid email address.

1. Purchase of the service

Click on the Order button in the box above and complete the purchase procedure in our control panel. If you are a new customer, you will also need to register with Hosting Solutions.

2. Registration with Namirial S.p.A.

Once the service has been purchased, the customer will receive by email a link (voucher) that will allow connection to the Namirial S.p.A. registration wizard; at this stage, Namirial will ask to provide the following data:

  • Personal details (name, surname, tax code, date of birth, etc.);
  • Address of residence;
  • Details of identification document (identity card / passport / driving license);
  • Details of health card;
  • Email address;
  • Mobile phone.

IMPORTANT: The link (voucher) is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase, so it must be used within 30 days of purchase.

3. Compatibility test

The compatibility test assesses whether the technical requirements for the connection are met, in order to successfully carry out the next step, which is video recognition.

4. Webcam video-recognition procedure

The video-recognition procedure requires that the technical requirements, as described in the previous point, are maintained throughout the operation, otherwise the operator will automatically interrupt the procedure. In addition to the technical requirements, the user must carry out the video recognition session in a quiet place, with no other people present and with a neutral background.

Furthermore, it will be necessary to have available:

  • a valid and legible identity document;
  • a valid health card;
  • the mobile phone indicated during registration;
  • access to the email address provided during registration.

Professional SPID - How it works

The difference between the personal SPID and the professional SPID is that the latter adds personal information such as VAT number/tax code as well as information regarding the organisation to which the holder of the digital identity belongs. This makes it possible to distinguish the area in which the digital identity is used, the private area (personal SPID) from the professional area (professional SPID).

To activate Professional SPID, you must already have a personal SPID obtained through our Personal SPID service, then you can purchase the Professional SPID service from our control panel, following the instructions given in the purchase procedure.

Once the service has been purchased, the customer will receive an email with a link (voucher) that will allow them to connect to the Namirial S.p.A. wizard to upgrade from personal to professional SPID.
